Quindim

-Ingredients:

  • 14 egg yolks

  • 1 egg

  • 100 grams of grated dry coconut

  • 100 grams of butter

  • 400 grams of sugar

-Steps:

  1. Grease the pans with butter and sugar

  1. Mix the sugar and butter with the mixer until light

  2. Add grated coconut, yolks, and whole egg (all sifted buds) and mix well

  3. Fill the dishes to the top (it will not overflow!) And set aside for 1 hour so the coconut is separated from the liquid

  4. Preheat the oven to the maximum and when you put the quindins leave in the 200º C

  5. The quindins should be cooked in a water bath and you should use a shelf very close to the fire

  6. When the coconut is very golden (very golden!) The quindim is ready

  7. Remove the shape from the oven and with the help of a knife without point remove the still warm quindins from the shapes (if it will cool it will stick in the shape)
